Description:
Vertically stand two rows of nine handbrakes per row on their sides in a crate. The rows face in opposite directions with the gear ends pointing outward. Two additional handbrakes are placed face up, in opposite directions between the two vertical rows. The first layer consists of a total of 20 handbrakes. The second layer of handbrakes is placed face up, in pairs, at right angles to one another in such a manner that the geared portion faces outward. Two additional handbrakes are placed face up in the center of the layer for a total of 10. Chains must be taut and secured to the lever of each handbrake by either looping the trailing link over it or by attaching it with a twist tie. Fasteners must be placed in a bag and be attached to each handbrake. If a crate lid is used, it may be placed over the handbrakes and should be secured to the package with two .5″ non-metallic bands.
