Prime High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE), molded plastic container designed to carry a minimum of 60 pounds per unit. The attached, recessed, interlocking finger design half lids allow for stacking and nesting. As a result of the need to stack 15 containers per layer 3 to 4 high on a 42″ x 48″ pallet, container capacity must conform to a static limit of 600 lbs. and a dynamic limit of 350 lbs. They must also provide banding locations in the lid for lengthwise stabilization of the load. When designed with hand grips, they must be integral, ergonomically acceptable and external from the container (no through openings in the endwalls). Drain holes must also be provided in the lower areas of the container base. Reinforced tie holes in both ends of the container allow the contents to be secured while card holders provide the means by which to label it.
