Stack running boards (longest ones first) on the pallet in alternating fashion (first one down, second one up, etc.). The pallet must be equal in size to that of the longest and widest board in the bundle. It is constructed of two 4″ x 4″ x (v) various length runners. Three 2″ x 6″ x (v) hardwood risers are nailed to the runners with 3″ resin coated nails. 1.25″ non-metallic bands must be used to strengthen the cross members of the pallet. A total of three 2″ x 4″ hardwood boards are placed one at each end and one about the center of the pallet. Three 1″ x 2″ x (v) boards (equal to width of the top running board) are put on top of the package. Three 1.25″ non-metallic bands are placed around the running boards securing them to the pallet. A fourth 1.25″ non-metallic band is placed perpendicular to the first three for added stability. Two edge protectors must be used.
